First Haircut

BEFORE

DURING

AFTER

Alex had her first real haircut this week! She has had her bangs cut at home a couple of times but I decided it was finally time to go get a real haircut. She did great once I got her to sit in the chair. She wasn't sure what was going to happen to her if she sat in the chair. So I promised her I would take her to the pet store afterwards to see dogs if she got in the chair and sat good. (For those of you that don't know, she is obsessed with dogs.) She got in and sat like an angel the entire haircut. She looked so big and so darn cute sitting in the chair getting her hair done. (And of course I took her to the pet store afterwards like I promised.)

In addition to her first haircut I started potty training this week. Today was the second day. Yesterday she was so excited about her own toilet that she said yes every time I asked her if she needed to go to the bathroom. Of course she never went to the bathroom. She just sat on it and smiled at me or talked in her own language. She also wanted to go to the bathroom every time I went. She also thought that she should be completely naked when she went. Every time I had to tell her that we keep our shirt on when we go to the bathroom. Today, typical of any child at this age, she was the complete opposite and said no every time I asked her if she needed to go to the bathroom and had no interest in sitting on it. We'll see how tomorrow goes.......
